About Me

Life is never simple in my world.  I find excitement and joy in simplicity as chaos whirls around me.  Simply put: I'm a follower of Christ, a wife, a friend, and a soon to be a mother.  In not so simple terms: I'm also a teacher, a tutor, a traveler, a decorator, a wanna-be foodie, a beach lover, a youth group leader, a mentor, a soon to be homeowner, and so much more...essentially....I'm a not so simple housewife!

I've been married for four and a half years and I love being a wife!   I consider myself to be one of the luckiest girls to be married to such a Godly, down to earth, fun-loving man.  Josh and I have so much fun together and I can't believe I get to spend the rest of my life with him.  I am more in love with him today than I was when we were first married!  What a great gift from God to grow in love as the days pass by!

Josh and I are in full time youth ministry.  Vocationally Josh is a youth pastor, but together as a way of life, we are in full time ministry.  We count it a privilege to serve God and the youth in the ways we are able to.  Often times people have a hard time understanding my role in Josh's job, but it is a lifestyle.  It is about being available and real in the lives of our students which is something we get to do together.  I've found that allowing students to see an authentic view into my relationship with Christ and loving them where they are has the most impact.

My entire life I've always been the girl who likes cars and football, but I was never a tom-boy.  I've always been girly at heart, but never put any time into exploring my creativity.  Ever since I've become a wife and had my own home to care for, I've started to enjoy exploring my creativity.  I love to cook, to decorate, and to care for my husband by providing him with a beautiful, well-cared for home (but of course I still love my football-Go Chargers!).

I wish my life was that simple...but it is not.  I'm the Not So Simple Housewife.  Join me as I seek to find joy in the simple things.
