My husband and I love candles! We are constantly having to buy new lighters or refills to keep up with the constant lighting of all our candles.
Last Christmas my dear friend Tasha made decorated matchboxes and candles as a craft at a church event where Christmas gift ideas were shared. Unfortunately I was unable to attend, but really wanted to try it myself. We talked about getting together sometime and making some, but it never happened. I recently bought some matchboxes (2 for a dollar!) and five months later, I made my first one. I love how it turned out!
I wanted to make something that would go with my home and could be out on display!

I decided to add a little of my own touch for functionality. I tied some left over twine around the entire inside box so that you can easily pull out the matches. It is both functional and decorative.

Mission accomplished!
Very cute! I love candles too..but since I am a scentsy rep, I have a new love, and it is safer for us, I have fallen asleep with candles lit and that is a scary to wake up to and realize. Thanks for sharing with my newbie party.
