Love Never Fails

I've been really wanting to create a piece for above our bed.  I've been toying with a few ideas for awhile now and I've really been wanting to make a headboard, but I don't have the money right now for the supplies I would need.  So I decided to make a piece to bring a little height above our bed.  

I wanted to paint something on a canvas to serve as both art and a statement of our commitment to one another.  I was thinking about placing the entire 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 on the canvas, but it just seemed like it was too much.  What stands out in those verses is the summarizing last statement: love never fails.

Having "love never fails" above our bed is constant reminder of our covenantal love for one another.  Our love will never fail.  We seek to love each other as love is described in 1 Corinthians 13, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails."

So here's to you Josh and our love never failing!
