Advent: 24 Days Until Christmas!

And the countdown has begun!  

Yesterday was the first day of the advent countdown..24 days until Christmas!  

We opened our first envelope last night for date night.  I had planned out night, so it was all a surprise to Josh.  After we finished dinner, Josh got to open the envelope to find out what the rest of our evening had in store for us.

We had two Christmas activities since it was date night and one Bible reading.  First we went to Fashion Island to see their giant Christmas tree.

Of course we needed a photo of the two us in the giant Christmas ornament!

Our second activity was to watch a Christmas movie!  We decided to watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas!  It is a classic and a great way to start off the season.

Finally we read our scripture reading from Isaiah.  It was such a great passage to remind us of the hope we have in Christ!
