Easter in Mexico

Happy Good Friday all!

I love this time of year!  Easter is so near and the reminder of Christ's death on a cross is fresh in our minds and hearts.  It is such a great time to remember the horror of a death on a cross and yet it is an event marked by grace and love.  God stepped down into our world to live a sinless life.  He then died to absorb the Father's wrath for our sin.  He exchanged his perfect righteousness for our sin and shame, so that we can stand right before God.  We are now called children of God and have the privilege of living a life to glorify and honor Him.

I can't think of a better reason to celebrate!
It is Christ who has set me free!

This year Josh and I will be celebrating Easter in Mexico!  We leave tomorrow to take a team of 15 high schoolers on a missions trip.  We are so excited to be able to join our sister church, Templo Ebenezer, on Easter morning for a sunrise service.  This next week while we are in Mexico we will be putting on a VBS for the kids in Templo Ebenezer's community and helping to repair and update the church's bathrooms.

We are excited to see all that God will do on this trip as we know he has a plan for our time!  We would love your prayers as we travel for safety, health, and a heart to serve!

Can't wait to share all about my trip next week!
