Quick Tip: Freezing Bananas

Who doesn't love a frozen banana?  I've always loved getting frozen bananas at Disneyland and on Balboa Island.  But these frozen banana are a little different.

I love making smoothies especially as the weather gets warmer and warmer.  I really enjoy having bananas in my blended drink. I always buy frozen berries, but you can't buy frozen bananas.  Thus I decided to freeze some myself.

I didn't want the bananas to be clumped up together.  I sliced the banana and placed them on a cookie sheet covered with wax paper.  I put them in the freezer until they were frozen completely.

The bananas easily popped off of the wax paper and were ready to be stored.  Using a freezer okayed bowl, I stored them back in the freezer.

We've already used many of the bananas.  It makes making a smoothie quick and easy.  Now there is no need to add ice to the smoothies with so many already frozen ingredients.
